Child Aid Projects starts in Chingola and Nampundwe with support from KCM

A partneship between the mining company KCM and DAPP will improve living conditions for 10,000 families in the communities surrounding the mine in the two districts.

Child Aid in Chingola is situated in Copperbelt Province and Child Aid Nampundwe is situated in Mumbwa District in Central Province. The projects will over the coming 4 years improve the living conditions for families with the main focus on improving the lives for children through capacity building of individuals and community structures as well as material support. Activities include establishment of Community preschools and Out of School Youth Clubs, school programmes, working with women clubs, poverty alleviation activities including improved farming methods and micro credit for alternative production and in small businesses.
