Development Aid from People to People is a Zambian Registered Association working with a number of development projects reaching out to thousands of people with information, training and direct support.

Learning through practical responsibilitiesChildren's Town

Children's Town in Zambia provide a home and an education for 12o former street children as well as education and life skill training to 180 children from the surrounding community


Child Survival Project

DAPP runs in cooperation with UNICEF a child survival project in 4 districts in the Northern parts of Zambia. The aim is to improve child survival and child health in areas with very high child mortality and malnutrition rates.


Provision of testing and counselling“HOPE Humana-New Start”

A New Start Centre has started in Ndola with funding from Society for Family Health (SFH). The aim is to promote testing at the centre as well as in remote areas through mobile testing.


Work place programme

DAPP carried out a work place programme at the Kansansashi Mine in Solwezi reaching 1,420 employees. A result of the programme was that 691 of the employees went for VCT.

The mothers2mothers program assists HIV positive mothers to prevent tranmission of HIV to their babies (PMTCT). The program started in Zambia in 2007 and reaches presently out to 30 clinics in Southern Province supporting hundreds of women and babies.

DAPP worked with 52 Development Instructors from 16 different countries in 2006 and a similar number in 2007. The Development Instructors (DI's) provide new energy to the projects and they get important life experiences as well.

Total Control of the Epidemic (TCE) is reaching out to 100,000 people in Mazabuka District with information and mobile testing. 50 field officers are each responsible for an area covering 2000 people.

DAPP in Zambia promotes growing of the Moringa Tree. This small tree privide outstandng nutrition to children and adults. We organise seeds and teach people about the advantage of growing and using the tree within the Child Aid and the Hope Projects.


HIV and Nutrition in Kabwe and Kapiri

The Hope Projects in Kapiri and Kabwe support 2000 people living with HIV and their families to boost nutrition. The families received food, input for crop and vegetable production and traditional chickens.

DAPP works on developing low cost technologies as a vital tool to reduce poverty in Zambia including rope pumps, manual drilling of boreholes, low cost filters for purifying of water and firewood saving stoves.
