Speaking when she graced the media breakfast to launch the 2024 DAPP Progress Report recently, Community Development and Social Services Permanent Secretary Ms. Angela Kawandami stated that DAPP has demonstrated β€œthat development is only effective and sustainable when carried out by the people, and not merely for them.”

"I wish to recommend DAPP Zambia for its commitment to empowering farmers, youths, women and vulnerable groups. DAPP is a consistent and dependable partner that prioritises long-term impact over short-term relief. This commitment to lasting change is what sets DAPP apart.”

Ms. Kawandami added that the progress report highlights efforts to help communities recover from drought and community-led initiatives that strengthen resilience through sustainable agriculture, including small-scale irrigation, livestock diversification, drought-resistant crops, and savings group support.
