530 Community Based Distributors trained in Family Planning and sexual reproductive health

Family planning is important for the health and welfare of the children and mothers in terms of ensuring good spacing between the children and planning the size of the family. DAPP works with Society for Family Health and Child Fund under the Sexual and Reproductive Health for All Initiative project in 15 districts reaching 90 health facilities and an estimated population of 400,000 people. The project duration is 5 years and started in April 2015. Activities to date has included training of 530 Community Based Distributors who will be in charge of delivering family planning services in rural communities.

Target Areas: 15 Districts of Luapula, Muchinga and Copperbelt provinces namely, Kawambwa, Mansa, Lunga, Chiengi, Nchelenge, Shiwang’andu, Mpika, Nakonde, Mafinga, Ndola, Kitwe, Kalulushi, Chililabombwe, Chingola and Mufulira
