DAPP Awarded for its efforts in community empowerment and poverty alleviation
The Families are Nations organization awarded DAPP Zambia for its contributions towards alleviating poverty and community empowerment at the International Day of the Family (IDF) commemorations. It is inspiring to note that, our endeavors to create development in communities together with the people by sharing necessary skills, knowledge and tools to fight poverty, illiteracy and disease; are being recognized.
Konkola Copper Mines has been partnering with DAPP since 2009 to implement part of its Corporate Social Responsibility programmes around its mine in a project called “KCM –Supporting Communities in Sustainable Livelihoods”.
The ‘Prisoners Rights are Human Rights Project’ is a 36 months project being implemented by DAPP in collaboration with Prisons Care and Counselling Association and PANOS Institute of Southern Africa.
Family planning is important for the health and welfare of the children and mothers in terms of ensuring good spacing between the children and planning the size of the family.
